Book of Answers (“the app”, “we”) is a novelty oracle that returns short, AI-generated answers. This policy explains what we collect and why. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the service.
Information we collect
- A device identifier. We store a random ID in a cookie on your device to count your daily free reading and any readings you earn by watching ads. It is not tied to your real-world identity.
- Your question (optional). If you speak or type a question, it is sent to our AI provider to generate an answer. We do not store your questions linked to your identity.
- Email address (only if you provide one). Administrators may verify an email address to manage the app. Regular use does not require an account or email.
- Advertising data. We show ads through Google AdMob (in the mobile app) and Google AdSense (on the web). These services may collect a device advertising identifier, IP address, and usage data to serve and measure ads, as described in Google’s policies.
How we use information
- To provide the app and generate answers to your questions.
- To enforce the daily free reading and readings earned by watching ads.
- To display and measure advertising, and to keep the service secure.
Third parties
We share only what is necessary with: Google (AdMob / AdSense) for advertising — see the Google Privacy & Terms; and our AI answer provider, which receives your question to generate a response. We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices
You can clear the app’s cookies/data at any time to reset your device identifier. On mobile, you can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings. Ad personalization can be managed through Google Ad Settings.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Data retention
Usage counts reset daily. We retain the minimal records needed to operate the service and meet legal obligations, and remove them when no longer needed.
